Artist's Statement

I'm Eskinder Belayneh, a sophomore studying Architecture at University of Maryland, College Park. My educational interests include practicing the language of mathematics, building houses, and solving problems. As a person born and raised in Ethiopia and only arrived in America when I was 11, my interests are highly influenced by this African nation.  This is shown through my passion for soccer. As an art scholars student, I have learned about the many art forms that would help represent my nation artistically.
